Network marketing, MLM or multi level marketing is said to have originated back in the 40s but its origins go back way further than that. Back around 1 million BC 2 cave men, one named Marvin Magma, the other named Bubba Bolder were sitting around their cave and their stomachs were grumbling from hunger. Hey Bubba said Marvin why don't we go down to the water hole and get a fish to eat. Bubba said I have been trying for a few days to get a fish but it hard to catch with your hands. The last time I was down there a T-Rex chased me and almost had me for dinner.
But you know Marvin said Bubba, I have been working on something that will make catching fish easier and faster. I took a stick and a piece of vine and made a device that can shoot a sharp stick into the water and stick a fish. The first time Bubba used it the fish got stuck and swam away. He put a small vine on the sharp sharp stick and when he shot the fish he reeled it in and ran back to the cave to cook up some fresh fish.
Every day Marvin and Bubba would go down to the water hole and catch a couple of fish. One day a cave man from a neighboring cave saw what they were doing and asked Bubba if he could make him one. Marvin grabbed Bubba and whispered in his ear, hey you might be on to something. I will help you make the fishing device and we will sell it to other cave men and make a fortune. Bubba agreed and told the other caveman it would be 1 fish for every fishing device we make. Why don't we call it a bow and arrow for now.
Soon word got around about Bubba and Marvins device and a small business was born. Bubba was the outdoors type and was always coming up with other devices for catching food. He took a long stick and put a point on it and called it a spear. Wading in the water made it difficult to spear fish so Marvin and Him built a boat out of old logs and vines. Floating in the boat made fishing with the spear so much easier. They had an abundance of fish from the bow and arrow so they needed something else for the spear and boat invention.
They decided on fruit for payment on the spear and boat plans. It wasn't long until word spread about Bubbas inventions and the food was piling up. Marvin got an idea about spreading their inventions around the valley. Why don't we have people show our inventions around the valley and offer them some fish and fruits for their efforts.(There you have the beginning of MLM

Before long Bubba and Marvin had more fish,fruits,vegetables and deer meat then they could eat, so they took in a couple of cave women to help them eat the excess food. They were so popular that they didn't need to go out and beat a woman over the head to get a date. Hot looking cave babes were lined up at the door waiting. Bubba and Marvin had so much that they took on several women.
One day Marvin and Bubba was sitting at the outside of the cave and Marvin turned to Bubba and said, I wonder what is over that big hill over there. Bubba said I don't know but it is too far and too dangerous to find out. Just then Bubba got an idea and said hey Marvin follow me. They ran down to a big tree and Bubba looked up and said, here Marvin hold my rockweiser, I have an idea. He pulled a funny smoke out of his pocket that he got from a local stoner and said I will be right back.
He climbed up the tree and looked to make sure momma pterodactyl wasn't around. He then lit up his stoner smoke and blew the smoke into the baby pterodactyls face. The baby got all giggly and came right over to Bubba. He grabbed the baby and climbed down the tree while blowing smoke at the babys face. They took the baby back to the cave and began training it to fly with them on it's back. They used stoner smoke and rockweiser to train the baby to listen to their commands.
One day Bubba blew some smoke in the pterodactyls face and gave him a glass of rockweiser and they were ready for a trial run. Bubba made a saddle so he could sit safely without falling off. After a few trial runs they flew over the mountain and landed by a row of caves. The cave people were all excited and glad to see them but were all hungry.
Bubba taught a few of the cave dwellers how to make bow and arrows and how to make a boat out of logs. Soon there was more and more cave dwellers wanting to build boats and use bow and arrows for hunting. Bubba and Marvin had to get more pterodactyls and other flying animals to keep up with the demand of the business. They flew over the mountain several times a week for training and product improvement.
Like all good things that come along for people someone is bound to get jealous and make waves. On day a group of animal activists sat out in front of Marvin and Bubbas cave to protest creuelty to animals. This went on for a few days until a couple of T-Rex came by and had a little snack. Marvin turned to Bubba and said, I wonder where those T-Rex came from they usually don't come by the cave. Bubba just sat there with a silly grin on his face and said I have no idea.
